ECW (Episcopal Church Women) gathers together for prayer, fellowship and service on the a variety of projects including scholarships for college students, fundraising for building projects, supplying, assuring that special events have appropriate reception and hospitality.
According to the website of the National Episcopal Church Women, “the ECW is women of all ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic backgrounds who hold a variety of views. However, the common denominator of our members is love of God and the wish to do His work. Centered in congregations, the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) empowers women to do Christ’s ministry in the world.”
Breakfast With Santa is an annual event held the first Saturday in December. Santa Claus makes an early visit to Trinity and his elves offer a pancake breakfast to the community along with enjoy a great time with Santa; crafts, face-painting, photos, holiday wreaths, gift basket raffle, and of course a photo with Santa are available. And the children were happy.
Coffee Hour Hosts are volunteers who set up and clean up Sunday Coffee Hours and host special receptions and festivities. Enjoying coffee and conversation following Sunday morning worship provides parishioners with an opportunity to greet visitors and talk with friends.
Did You Know? that some churches actually consider the coffee hour the “third” part of the worship service (after the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist)? The fellowship that follows the regular service adheres Christ’s dictum to “love each other as I have loved you.”
Fellowship Dinners are a parish social and culinary program where parishioners and community come together to enjoy good food and the gift of fellowship. We have gathered around Spaghetti Suppers, Chili Night, and different theme dinners. Perhaps the most famous is the Pancake Supper on “Fat Tuesday” before Ash Wednesday.
Rector’s Forum: We gather in a town meeting style to give updates and information on the current activities in this faith community. Opportunity is given to ask questions on a variety of topics with organizational leaders available to respond.Parish Life is designed to celebrate and relish the gift of fellowship among the family and friends of Trinity Dinners, Parties, Suppers, and organized group give parishioners an opportunity to share our life in Christ, the time to share, support, and laugh, and provide an avenue to serve each other with our time and talent.
