I was looking for something different for breakfast and came across this recipe. It was very easy to make and tasted amazing. I served mine with maple flavored breakfast sausage links (my daughter’s favorite and a must have with almost every breakfast) and canned cinnamon rolls with orange frosting.
PREP TIME: 20 minutes COOK TIME: 25 minutes SERVES: 4
INGREDIENTS
2 packages crescent rolls
1 package Jimmy Dean original flavor
1 pint heavy cream
1 cup milk
7 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon butter
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz. shredded pepper Jack cheese
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Separate crescent dough into 16 triangles and place on a greased, round pizza pan with points toward the center. Press onto the bottom and up the sides of pan to form a crust; seal seams. Bake for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown. In a medium saucepan brown breakfast sausage, remove any grease and add 2 tbsp. flour. Mix well to coat the sausage. Add the cream and milk and cook on medium heat until gravy thickens stirring constantly. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add egg mixture; cook and stir until almost set. Spread sausage gravy mixture over the crust. Top with eggs and cheeses. Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until eggs are set and cheese is melted. Cut into wedges.
**NOTE** If you do not want to make the sausage gravy from scratch. You can use any packaged sausage gravy mix and follow the directions on the package and omit the 1 pint heavy cream, 1 cup milk and 2 tbsp. flour from recipe. Adding the cooked breakfast sausage to the gravy and cook until thickens.

The most common way would b to add the Gravy instead of the marinara sauce on the pizza with the sausage acting as the pepperoni. power!
