3. Granola Bar + Fruit + Milk: A packaged granola bar can be incredibly convenient and also healthy when paired with some fruit or milk and yogurt. My kids’ favorites? The line of Clif Kid Z-Bars, which are designed especially for kids, made with organic ingredients, and available in a variety of yummy flavors. We love the Iced Oatmeal Cookie and the S’mores versions best. The bars are soft and easy for a toddler to chew, too. Looking for fruit that’s easily transported as well? Try the little squeeze packs of applesauce and other fruit blends. My kids love them! These are great options when you’re running out the door – they sure beat the drive-through!

Blueberry is always a safe bet with the kiddos, but another favorite is my 2-Ingredient Pumpkin Spice Mini Muffins. Moms will love them because they are fast to prepare and they freeze beautifully.

5. Breakfast Parfaits: Make a breakfast parfait that is pretty, and your child is bound to be interested! You can layer any yogurt and fruit in a cup, or add cereal or granola for some crunch. Try my “Cat in the Hat” Strawberry Cheesecake Breakfast Parfaits or add my favorite homemade granola recipe to a creation of your own.

6. Miniature PB&J Waffle Sandwiches: One of my favorite breakfasts is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich made with two whole-grain toaster waffles. In the frozen section of your grocery store, grab some miniature waffles for your kids and serve them this tasty treat as well. The mini waffles are not as thick as their full-size counterparts, and are the perfect size for your toddlers to pick up on their own. Much more manageable for the little ones!
