Some people say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Who knows if they’re right, but the award for most fun meal of the day or week should probably go to brunch. First of all, it’s the only time that liquor is socially-acceptable that early in the day (Bloody Mary). Second of all, when else do you get to eat things like Bananas Foster French Toast and Crab and Brie Quiches?
And like most things culinary, the Grand Strand has a nice variety of brunch spots for you to check out. Here’s a handful of the ones that we think stand a little taller than the rest.
Easily one of the most popular brunch spots in town, this quaint bistro with outdoor seating serves an extensive menu of Southern-inspired dishes with a European flair from 10am – 2pm on Sundays. Check out favorites like their Crab Cake Benedict, Thompson Farm Frittata, Croque Madame, Banana Nutella Crepes, or the Bananas Foster French Toast. (Most dishes are in the $8 - $12 range). And if you like a Bloody Mary with your mid-morning meal, stop by the build-your-own bar and load up on any number of condiments. One of the best parts about brunch here is that, as a bakery, all of the bread is baked in-house – something to keep in mind while ordering. And on the way out, stop by the cake and pastry case and pick up a little something for later. You’ll be glad you did!
Known among locals and visitors as one of Myrtle Beach’s best seafood restaurants, this beachfront eatery serves up a brunch menu full of eggs, omelets, pancakes, and waffles. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a table with a clear view of the waves where you can enjoy popular items like the Brie and Bacon Omelet, Pecan Waffles, or homemade Biscuits and Gravy.See also:
