So far in our Best of Vegas guide, we've given you our favoriteThai restaurants, hamburger joints on the strip and sports bars. We've also given you 6 fun things to do away from the strip.
Today, we switch things up and take a look to morning, when you're looking for a place to eat after an all-night poker tournament that ends just as the sun starts to rise. That's right: we're looking at breakfast, the most important meal (or dinner) of the day.
Vegas has no shortage of great breakfast joints. We're here to bring you the best of the best. And as always, leave us your favorite places in the comments below, and we'll check them out for inclusion in future editions of our guide.
Hash House A Go Go: This chain started in San Diego, but Vegas has five locations. Conveniently, there's a new one located at the Rio, so if you're here for the World Series of Poker, you're a mere walk away from some of the most ridiculous breakfast (and lunch) food you'll ever see.
Giant waffles with bacon baked inside, topped with rosemary fried chicken strips and syrup? Yep. Massive Bloody Mary's with all sorts of vegetables (to make it healthy) and bacon? Hash House has it. And the pancakes are absolutely massive. We dare you to eat more than one.
SkinnyFats: SkinnyFats, with two Vegas locations, is a fun concept: half of the menu features healthy items. The other half? It's anything but healthy, but still delicious. Generous portions with good prices and good service-plus fresh cold-pressed juice-equals a good choice.
BabyStacks Cafe: This one is located quite a ways off the strip, but it's worth the trek for the red velvet pancakes alone. Seriously. They're red velvet pancakes, and they're topped with liquid cream cheese instead of syrup. Oh, and some whipped cream and chocolate chips.
We recommend the red velvets (obviously), but if that isn't your thing, Babystacks has plenty of delightfully tasty options on the rest of their menu. The Snickers pancakes are also delicious, and your regular breakfast staples-eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.-are all perfectly cooked. But like Hash House, prepare to wait for a table. It's worth it.

Depends on what you like there are lots of clever theme type places and some really top shelf places as well - try Quarks Bar in the Hilton off the strip if you want a costumed experience where you eat "futuristic foods' drink really strange drinks (like the smoking Warp Core Breach) and can have a photo taken with a Klingon, a Borg, a Ferengi and a Vulcan at different times during the meal, plus the people who eat there are pretty fun too. Then there is the Nascar restaurant in the Aladdin - really cool Nascar memorabilia and good burgers. There is the Napoleon Bar at the Paris it open…
