Directed by John Hughes (Home Alone) this was the tale of five high school students, all different stereotypes, who meet in detention, where they pour their hearts out to each other, and discover how they have a lot more in common than they thought.
Not only did it soak up and spit out the trends and the vibe of the 80s (and the hair) it also carried several valuable messages for its cult following.
It’s not just those who watched the film who rated it either over the years critics gave The Breakfast Club top marks.
So what are the actors who played the detention loving/loathing characters doing now?
Molly played Claire Standish and was the 'princess' of the group and always first to arrive for detention. 46-year-old Molly is still acting, singing and dancing. The mother-of-three has had recent roles as the mum in the 2008-13 US series The Secret Life of the American Teenager, 2014 film Wishin’ and Hopin’ alongside Meat Loaf and Chevy Case. According to IMDB, Molly features alongside Juliette Lewis and Pretty Little Liars star Ryan Guzman in forthcoming 2015 film Jem and the Holograms. Thanks to the 1985 film that boosted her career Molly was ranked No.1 on VH1's 100 Greatest Teen Stars list.
