Cue the flag waving, fireworks and (hopefully) sunny weather – Australia Day is just around the corner.
Aussie merchandise has flooded the shops, with our national flag and emblems adorned across hats, shirts, stubby holders, temporary tattoos... and mankinis.
The tributes are out in force too – including a creative take on our national anthem set to the tune of Outkast's 2003 hit Hey Ya.

Over at Langley Park, circus performers, sand sculptors and motocross daredevils will keep the crowds entertained, before all eyes turn skyward for an aviation display starting at 3.30pm. Those looking to have a drink or two will be able to do so within dedicated "BYO zones" at Langley Park and Kings Park which come into effect at 6.30pm.
Most places along the river with a view of the city skyline will provide a good vantage point for the 8pm fireworks, though there will be limited public access to the western side of Heirisson Island. Parts of the island will be fenced off between January 16 and 31 for the set up and dismantling process.

From 4.30pm, volunteers will hand out 60, 000 flags ahead of a world record attempt - the "most people simultaneously waving a national flag at an event".
The attempt will get underway at 7.30pm with the official countdown broadcast on local radio station mix94.5.
"The current record stands at just over 56, 000 people, so with the 60, 000 flags we're handing out as well as the flags which spectators usually bring along themselves, we're pretty confident our attempt will be successful, " Australia Day WA chief executive Ray Wardrop said.
